The Power of Pure Imagination
Ever feel like life can get a little. . . strange? All Dr. April wanted was to be normal and have a normal life. What’s “normal”? Go to school, get good grades, get an advanced degree or two (or three or four), get a job that pays you decently and sing on the side. And she was on the way there. She was minding her own business when family drama and dysfunction came calling and threatened not only her career, but her life.
In this autobiographical voice and piano concert combining song, storytelling, poetry, and dance, Dr. April shares how an unplanned viewing of the Tim Burton film, Alice in Wonderland, brought her face to face with her guardian angel, Madison Hatta, Sonneteer. With Madison by her side, she learns that it’s never too late to have a happy childhood or to become the hero of your own story.
